Hi Everyone,

This is just a quick post to start a discussion about the potential interest in starting a user group or Amiga "Enthusiasts" group in South-Western Ontario.  Do we have enough active users to make a go of it?  We could meet every other month... Anyway just throwing this one out there...

I was over at HammerD's place earlier this evening and had a peek at his uA1C system and his Pegasos system and saw the newest Beta of OS4.0b - SWEEEET!  He would like to demo these systems at the proposed meeting, so let's talk!

I'm in.  I'd be happy to show OS4 Beta if there is some interest out there...

I'm in Brantford and would be keen on seeing some of the new "stuff".

I'm not far away....in the Niagara Peninsula.  I'm sure I can make it out that way for a meeting/demo.

Maybe we could put together a mini show/demo.  I think Geoff can arrange a venue and I can work on local advertising - at the University and also local computer stores - I can distribute flyers about it...

Something like a saturday afternoon from 11 to 5.  We could show OS4, - and perhaps ack could bring some goodies to show off :)

Hi,

C'mon, that's right next to Toranna isn't it?

Actually I can show E-UAE on my G5 or the Mac Mini while I'm there too if anyone would like to see that as well.

How many people would need to show up in order to make the whole event worthwhile?

Well I think if we did as well as the Ottawa Amiga show it would be a success.  I would really hope that ACK Controls could come and show off some of their products.

I would do alot of local advertising so I am pretty sure we could get anywhere from 25 to 50 people show up.  This would be a meeting/demo and perhaps a display of ACK Control's products...

At this point any exposure would help.  We haven't had any Amiga events in this region for several years.  Maybe some people from Michigan/upstate NY. could come as well, since it's not that far away.

Perhaps if you mentioned what ack is working on we might get people to drive a VERY long way to see it!
