Using a networked printer with Amiga
« on: March 07, 2003, 02:42:03 AM »
I have two printers on a Netgear Print server on my network. Is ther any way other than using Smaba and sharing them through windows. Has no one come up with a Network print driver for Amiga that connects to the IP of a print server?

Use NetParlpr.lha on aminet - it allows you to print to an IP printer. I use a SMC router with a print server and it works brilliantly. The archive has a bug, however; the NetPar.device must be renamed to lower case - netpar.device, or it won't work.

This is probably why no-one's heard of it - sigh.
