WINUAE artifacting windows & graphics
« on: April 21, 2005, 03:01:34 PM »
Hmm. I thought I had posted this before, can't seem to find it. Anyway: been fiddling with WINUAE, recently upgraded to a fast Dell Optiplex GX280, NVIDIA, 3 gHz, 512 ram. Real Zippy!
But...after running a while, I get artifacting in graphics in IBrowse; or when screen switching the area behind open windows gets all scriggly, like the old auto-decompacting proggies would do to the screens way back when - multi-colored scanlines is the best way I can describe it.
Tried changing cpu settings, video settings, etc in WINUAE. Is /are there tweaks for NVIDIA graphics chipset under windows that could improve this? Thanks.

Although i dont get display corruption, IB works fine in p96 mode (dont really mess with aga emu) there is a problem dragging icons on the desktop.  they will flicker or go invisable when trying to drag them.  its been like this for years during my usage on winuae on radeon cards.
looks like somekind of refresh issue, but ive never found any setting to effect this. ive pressed most options in p96 prefs, nothing sems to effect it.

If you're sure it is caused by WinUAE, try this forum

I used to have a problem with GFX in WinUAE with an older Nvidea graphics card.  Ge-Force 4 if memory serves me right.

Honestly - I just updated the video driver and it seemed to fix itself.
