Kinda new user.

Hello Everyone,

I signed up a while back, but hadn't used this place much until recently.  I was mainly into Emu's but I finally decided I'd go ahead and get the REAL thing.

Flashback of memories...

My dad had a C128 when I was a kid, the first gaming machine I ever laid my eyes on.  Instant love, then joined the local users group.  I then eventually got my own C64.  I had it for quite a few years, then sold it to get the money for a new computer.  An Amiga or an IBM.  I settled for an IBM XT..  Terrible mistake! After a few years of continual upgrading, I got into emulators and found emulators for the Commodore family.  YAY!!!  After emulating the C64 for a while I wanted the real thing again.

I ended up getting my old C64 back in terrible shape, had to transplant some chips because it had been stored in the guy's 120 degree F shed for a couple of years, then I had a friend give me his C64 collection.  Then as luck would have it, a couple years later I got the local 'now defunct' users group's collection.

Anyway, I got an A500 a little over a year ago, and signed up for an account here.

FINALLY...  About a week ago I just got an A1200 with a HDD.

NOW...  I'm here and ready to go.

ME   :-D

Don't forget fun with hard hacks! If you're financially prudent and adventurous, you may want to have a go at all the weird and wonderful alterations out there. My A500 is slowly turning into a stripboard monstrosity  :-D

1x880k Floppy Disk, 1xIBM 540Mb 3.5\\"HDD KS1.3, WB1.3
