Read something about this in one of the show reports posted lately here ( http://www.stud.ntnu.no/~kayare/a1/amitron2005.html ).  Problem is nobody has pics or information about what is different/changed about this card...

Zorro network cards...it boggles the mind how much more expensive they are compared to PCI cards of the same/similar specs. :-(

Well I guess it`s just that now there is yet another ISA Networkcard soldered to the well known bridge, just as it was from X-Suft 1 to X-Surf 2. So no big thing, it`s just Produktionrun 3 ;-)

I know that with my towerized A1200´s I only use pcmcia network cards  :lol:
The only minor detail is that none of my A1200 towers are assembled  :lol:

Yeah I was a bit upset when I got my xsurf II and found it to be
nothing more then a $10 realtek ISA card on a special adapter. They do
work well though, just a bit on the high price side. When it died on
me I ended up getting a mediator, voodoo III, 10/100 ethernet,
soundblaster and the tower for my A3000 for the price a new "amiga"
ethernet card and a "amiga" video card would have been. Quite sad.

I can beleive that a new "cost reduced" XSurf will costs so much!

I'm an happy XSurf2 user (purchased for 115 EUR 2 years ago) than, IIRC dropped to 85 EUR somewhere.

EDIT- so 134.95$= 103.998 EUR

Vesalia sells the X-surf 3 card now on their site.
EUR 99.90.

Too bad that zorro-cards are so expensive!

These X-Surf boards were, I believe, built for Software Hut on a special order.  I have one in front of me...it was delivered last week.  It's label is X-surf 3cc and has a 2005 date on it.  I have an X-surf 2 in my 4000 but haven't compared the two boards.

I'm putting the X-surf 3 in my A3000 this weekend....
