« on: April 02, 2005, 10:45:24 PM »
Hi -

I have a 2meg Cybervision 64 card and want to upgrade
to 4 megs of RAM.  The set of 4 chips have the
following codes:

"Malaysua C012 / 9540 788 / HM524260CJ7"

Anybody happen to have some laying around, or know
where I might buy some?

I beleive some of the early S3 PCI graphics cards used these chips, had 2 soldered on the board for 2meg, and sockets for another 2meg.. check with local computer shops for old stock, garage sales or computer swap meets. Look at the cards, if they have 4meg, with 2 in sockets, check the memory in those sockets are the same as what you need.

Buy the card cheap, rip out the memory and upgrade your Cybervision64 :-)

Az

Completely useless? I can always be used as a bad example

Keep an eye on Ebay, something similar to this comes up every so often:

video memory

In fact, this WAS the same guy I got mine from. (Just checked his feedback).

Looks like these chips at that link are the wrong ones.  You need 2MB and those are 1MB.  I grabbed a old S3 video card that was a 4MB card and took two chips from it.
Going Bananas over AMIGAs since 1987...

Looking for Fusion Fourty PNG ROMs V3.4?
