GarageBand is a lot of fun to play around with. :-)
my brother has made a couple of songs using that. I was over at his place a few weeks ago while he monkeyed with it. it's amazing!
(makes me wish i had an iBook - except i'm not talented like my brother is).
I think there's a link online with his songs and i'll ask him if he minds me letting you fellas hear them.
the no CARB diet- no Cheney, Ashcroft, Rumsfeld or Bush.

One thing I haven't seen anyone ask (probably my eyes missing things completely again  :-P)...

How's Dale?  You said he was in the kennels for a wee while when you were away, how did he react when he saw you again?

Hope he is well enough to chase some :kitty: about ;-)

I've tinkered with that at work (ahem, er not that I should be) but I can't for the life of me seem to actually do anything with it

I suppose I'm way too long in the tooth and dependent on OctaMED Soundstudio to learn how to use new music software :-D

It's a lot easier with a MIDI controller, if you're more into software instruments and stuff. They sell M-Audio keyboards at most Apple stores for about £50, probably cheaper elsewhere. But it's really not up to much as a sequencer and the way it works is rather idiosyncratic so it's worth reading the manual. I don't think it's something you'd want to use for serious work, though I did manage to make a good sounding rock song with just an acoustic guitar and the built-in mic. (Results soon...) :-)

He's doing great but unfortunately I have to find him a new home. I'm on my own now with no Becky to pop round and see him and he just gets so upset if he has to be left alone that it just doesn't seem fair to keep him anymore. It's a horrible situation whichever way I choose really, so I'm just trying to think of what's best for him. :-(

Christ, how do I follow that?

Punk sis might be moving up to Scotland. She was talking about Edinburgh 'cause we visited a couple of months ago but god knows what house/rent prices are like there.

Rent/Tax in Edinburgh is probably quite expensive.  In Dundee it's not too bad, but then it is a crap place to live ;-)

Edinburgh was nice until some Gouranga! guy with a scabby nose told us about an Englishman getting his face ripped off for daring to walk on Scottish soil. Then we felt nervous. ;-)

It's a good job I never did have the balls to shout "one more {bleep}ing hit!"

I kid, I kid.

PS. Mac users might want to steer clear of Tesco Broadband if they're hoping to make any use of the free modem. OS 10.4 drivers for which won't appear for a month or so... :pissed:

GarageBand fun!

I don't think it sounds bad at all considering it's just an acoustic guitar and the built in mic. ;-)

At first I got:

Did not receive any response from application. It is possible that the application does not exist, or that the requested url is incorrect.

Then I got:

We're having trouble fulfilling your last request. Please return to the .Mac home page.
