A question of is it worth it?
« on: March 28, 2005, 11:18:55 PM »
'Lo all. I have a plethora of software I'll never use - some in boxes with the (original - oooh!) plastic on 'em, but have been opened, etc. I'm not talking about the 'backups' of software I'm sure we all have, but real stuff.
Also a few hardware pieces (I tink there's an old AMAX board around here somewhere...) Is it worth inventorying them and listing them here? I don't want to make a killing, just a few cents over shipping at most (e.g if shipping is $2.44, charge $3.00)- I just don't want to toss 'em, but they are taking up valuable space.

Suggestions?

You will have to make a list in any case, so begin with that. Then list them here and if no one bites then go to evilbay. Who knows, you may just find some lunatic with more money than brains and make a killing.

I agree that you should try and list them here and if no-one is interested then you probably would sell them on ebay; theres loads of stuff on there now, varying from auctions of one software title to A1200 with accessories, printer and software, from 99p upwards!  And nearly EVERYTHING listed that is Amiga related has at least one bid, so will be sold.  Thats just ebay UK, so the American version probably has even more.

The one thing to remember is that you have pay ebay fees so you have to take this into account when selling; I know your not interested in making mega-moolah but you don't want to have to pay for people to help you do a clear-out!!!

Good point, Pete. But you know us lazy Americans - there's just too much here to make a list - such work!

Okay, I'll shut up and get to work compiling an inventory - get your pennies ready!

An American with Amiga stuff?  Cool.

If you have Sideshow (rare canival game) or Desert Strike, I'm in.  :-)
