Well, in that case, you better not use the internet. GMail's privacy policy is clear for anyone to see, and I fail to see how it is really any different to that of MSN - the only thing is that Google actually tells you what they're going to do. Hotmail does exactly the same thing - filters email checking for spam, and displays advertisements based on your demographics. I don't dislike Hotmail (I still have an account), but it's annoying when people bash GMail without having read the privacy policy. Even if Google's scanning policy was extremely prohibitive and invasive (which it's not), I would still rather have that and no spam than 200 messages a day about my potential impotency problems and why I need viagra at 21 :-P
