Free GMail Invites
« on: March 28, 2005, 11:06:56 PM »
Well, like everyone else in the world, I've got a few GMail invites to hand out (50 of them, actually.)  So I figured I'd try and give them away.
For those who don't know, GMail is Google's 'free' email service.  It's in Beta stages now, so it isn't open for the public, they expand the testing by allowing existing members to invite others to join.  Features are - 1 GB of free storage (which, with GMailFS, you can use as web storage), a nice, clean interface, search function for your archives.

Anyways, just either post here or PM me with your email address and I'll send you an invite.  :-)

If he runs out of invites (which I doubt because they get refilled every few days), and anyone is without one. I'd be glad to contribute a few of my own as well..

Same goes for me.  No matter how many I give away, it keeps saying I still have 50 left to give out.

PM me if you want one.

Well, I've gotten it down to 45 remaining   Maybe I should see if it IS actually possible to run out of GMail invites  :-D
LOL, reminds me of a Red Vs Blue episode -
"Does anyone want a GMail invite?  I only have 40,000.  It's very exclusive"

You can use it with pop3 and smtp from YAM if Amiga browsers won't render the page correctly.

PM me your current email address and i'll send you an invite.

I think it's open to the public now. I got an invite from gmail not too long ago saying I could have an account now. I put myself on their mailing list and they finally emailed me. I already had an account by then, though because someone invited me. I have 50 invites, too. :-)

I think the invite thing is good because if you invite evil folks and they do bad, then its your fault and you're linked to the badness so you try to only invite good people you know.

Just wanted to post that Google is doubling the amount of free storage with GMail to 2 GB.  I've also still got 39 invites left.   :-)

Well, it's been a couple of months, and I have another 50 invites, as I'm sure almost everyone else here does as well.  They're annoying me, so if anyone still (perhaps if you've been hiding under a rock for the last 12 months) doesn't have a GMail account and they want one, pm me or post here.  :-)

Yahoo mail is also 1GB of free storage and no invite is necessary.
