IDE and SCSI in A4000?
« on: March 26, 2005, 03:03:51 AM »
Hi -

I've just got an Amiga 4000 with
Warp Engine 040/40 in it with SCSI
adapter in it.

Can the Amiga be configured to have an
IDE CD-Rom R/W drive along with the
SCSI drive(s) in it as well?  Any trick
to configuring it?

Amiga 4000D/040 Warp Engine/SCSI-CD/Cybergraphic64/X-Surf
Amiga 1200T 060/60 PPC603e BVision and more
Amiga 1200 nice white case GVP1230/1291SCSI
Amiga 2500 stock 2630 GVP HC+8(4)CD-ROM

No problem with that at all.  In my A4000 I have a DVD/CD-RW Combo drive and 250M Zip drive on the IDE, and a 40GB HD on the CSMK3 SCSI.

Time to move on.  Bye Amiga.org.  :(

Have my CD-ROM connected to the onboard IDE controller here too but only until I get hold of a SCSI cd-rom so I can take the load of my CPU.
