How do I test RAM?
« on: March 24, 2005, 12:56:24 PM »
Hey there!

I think this is a hardware topic and not a software one.

I've noticed something a little 'odd' about the A500 I'm using.

I've just been dumping ADF games to floppy so I can play them on my A500, and noticed something.

Every game has nasty glitches. eg. Gem'X scrambles and then gurus during gameplay. Theme park's ground tiles are missing, etc. I may be wrong, but this looks like unhappy RAM to me. It may be something else. I don't know.

If it is RAM, is there a program that will run in wb1.3 that can do exhaustive tests?

Thanks.
A500 (salvo): 1Mb RAM (512k chip, 512k SlowFast)
1x880k Floppy Disk, 1xIBM 540Mb 3.5\\"HDD KS1.3, WB1.3
1084S monitor. AT Keyboard!
A500 (Whitey): 512k RAM, 1x880k Floppy Disk, KS1.2, WB1.3
