Download festival? Pah!
« on: March 23, 2005, 02:13:43 PM »
I was pissed that I couldn't go to Download this year, but now I have something else to do.

And it's a lot sooner than Download too :-P

It's also a club show, so only 400 people there max.  Nothing beats a live club atmosphere.  Nothing.

Who is it I hear you ask?  You're not going to believe it.  Seriously.  You've probably not heard of him, or if you have you've heard one song and that's it.  His name is Mortiis.

You can keep your Download I'm going to see a Norwegian troll :-P

Absolutely brilliant :-o

NFD (the support) were absolutely stonkin :-D

If you love good old thrash, I almost guarantee that you'll like them.  The bassist must've been knackered after the set.

Mortiis was fantastic.  It was heavy as f*ck!  One of the few times they've done an encore too.  The tech's were switching everything off and started dismantling the drums when another tech came on and said they were coming back on :-D

Me and Sioux were right at the front so we had a bloody great view.  It's just a pity that it was also the very end of the mosh pit - I'm not as young as I used to be ;-)

If we have the money we might even go through to Glasgow when he plays there in September.  Absolutely fantastic.

If I don't get my hearing back tomorrow I won't mind one bit :-D
