@sheepz

I guess it depends on how basic is 'basic'. Anyhow, I have an A1200T/Z4 system fitted with a Mediator and a Voodoo5 card. It works a treat, tho' I couldn't get the Voodoo PCI to run alongside a Picasso IV in the ZII slot. Timing issues I think.

Provided you set the Mediator jumpers as described in the manual and set everything up using the current edition of MedConfig (available on Elbox site), you shouldn't have (m)any problems.

Make sure you assign the required screen mode to the Voodoo using PicassoMode (in Prefs).

Cheers,

JaX

trying to put video board to other slots. Mediator too buggy with it some time. For my case, i can used video board correctly only after i resoldering all pci/chips/othersstuff contacts.

for first, try to put video card to first slot. run amiga, and just using scanpci or pciinfo tool. If you do will not have any devices attached to you mediator, so problem some deeply in hardware. If you will find that device connected to pci bus, but not displayed correctly params, try to use other slots or resoldering some mediator contacts (pci bus/etc).

I had the same problem, "no board" in picassomode until I ran the picasso installation a second time to pick the monitor settings. The voodoo guide on the CD says to do this, but I missed it the first time I read it.
