At the moment I am currently running an A1000 offf kickstart 1.4 without any problems and seeing if I can get any of my other Amiga to run it.

Did you manage to build an adapter in the end?

I`ve just scribbled a little (untested) idea that should work with 2 OR gates and an inverter, if you want I can make a legible schematic out of it.
On schedule, and suing
