When i seen the state of this poor Amiga 3000 specimen, i was in such a state of shock, i loss the use of my legs. Thanks to this auction, i am temporarily forced into a wheel chair. :-(

Perhaps the dirt has become an integral part of the machine working. I spilt orange juice on my A500 once; I left it for a day or two and turned it on, it was fine. It was only when I opened it up to clean out properly that it seized up.

This isn't that bad, it just needs a little TLC from an amiga loving nice guy.

I got a pile of A500, one of which was really, really bad! The metal shielding underneath was rusty, so bad the holes were already there!

But as usual with these incredible machines, it worked. It worked just fine...

It came back to life a few weeks later, they don't drown easily.

Well, this person did post both pictures and explained in the description that it was not the most bautiful beast due to water damage, so i really dunno what the fuzz is about. I guess it would be better if he/she threw it at the scrapyard?

I am sure a few people would like to fix it up, instead of thrashing it..

Well, at least the buyer knows what the machine has been withstanding for some time. Better than clening it up and selling it as newlike.

I read the auction a bit differently.
"This came from the estate of a local computer tech"
This would suggest me it was formally owned by a now departed amigian. :-(
Probably stored in the basement or workshop, unused for years
because of sickness or expiration of the last owner.
Sad thought really. I bet it just needs a new loving home.
I took an old rusty 3000, disassembled it, sanded lightly, then
spray painted the case with matching silver and tan colors.
Better looking than new when it was done. If I didn't have
two already, I'd be trying to snap this on up also.
