How would Alien Breed 3D play on an unaccelarated A1200? Is it decent or do you need to have a window the size of a matchbox to get anything other than a slideshow?

The first Part of Alienbreed 3D should be playable on a plain A1200 as it was also made for the CD32, though a little bit of Fast-RAM cant hurt.
Wit an 030 Accelerator it runs well.

For the second part (The killing grounds) you shouldn't try anything less then 040.
Not really interesting, but it`s there.

Cool thanks for that. I think I'll have a bid for it then. I've been trying to get an accelerator with fast memory from EBay for a while anyway. They seem to frequently go for more money than Amigas themselves, anyway perseverance.

Managarm,

When I finally get all my data transfered over to my Winbox I may have a blizzard 1260 up for grabs, so watch this space  :-)

PS. There's a picture of me in that Amiga Format last issue, so that should make it even more valuable, eh

Good man, I'll keep my eyes open. When I bought the A1200 I wish I'd realised how fierce the bidding could be for accelerators, I'd have have held out for one with a card already inside it.

I've got two power towers that I may be selling also - one's been sprayed british racing green (not by me, it was like that when I aquired it)! It's just the hassle of shipping something that big...

That sounds intersting, I hadn't actually thought of towering at this time, but it's an inevitability. Racing green eh? Sounds lovely. Makes you wonder if it was sprayed that colour to match the room it was in. That would be truly awful. Nothing a wee respray couldn't put right though.

I believe it was sprayed that colour as the chap I got it from was/is a fan of motor racing... I'm not sure I'd like to spend any time in a room it might have been sprayed to match!

If I get time, I'll upload a photo.
