PicassoIV on Mediator4000Di board

I have searched through the forums and various other sites, but
cannot find a clear answer.  Will a PicassoIV work in a Mediator
4000Di busboard?  The descriptions say there is a video slot, but
I don't see it in any of the pictures.  Can anyone comment on using
a PIV in this kind of setup?  Will the Picasso's SD/FF still be usable?

There is no video slot on the 4000Di.  (The Elbox page is correct, the info on the BBoAH is incorrect).

I think it will work if he cuts off the flicker fixer part that would otherwise need to be plugged into the video slot. :-)

If the PIV can function without the scan doubler, then yes it should work.  But, without a scan doubler you're probably better off with a Voodoo.

That's right. Also, picasso IV without its precious SD/FF module is simply not the same. :-)

This is what I thought, Elbox's site wasn't very helpful
either.  I suppose if I want to continue to use my PIV's
FF/SD, I need to find another solution.

The Elbox site information is corrent (well, except maybe the Shark PPC card parts :lol:) and AFAIK never says it has a video slot.  Other solutions like the Mirage 4000 Pro/Mediator 4000D have a video slot if you need it.  But, if you want to stuff a lot of cards into the desktop case you have to have compromises.  That said I'm very happy with my Voodoo 3000, SD/FF and a manual monitor switch.  All of the applications I use daily promote well, besides games, so I rarely have to switch.
