I have used both CV64 and CV64/3D with A4000 and both P96 and CGX.  My feeling is that CGX is faster than P96 when used with Phase 5 ie CV cards.  My settings are (cgx v4):
Alertmenu is on ("1")
nopassthrough is off
supergel is on
wbpatspeedup is on
cpup2c is on
hirescrsr is on
planes2fast is off (means i can use scala and other native video modes on my 1084)
superlayers is on
56khzaudio is off so i can use pal modes
forcechunky is off
keepamigavideo is off
savmem is off
usesemaphores is on
nomouseratio is of

tooltypes: advancedclk is on
dragging is off
scrollmask is on
bitmapcache is on
bootlogo is off
multimediamem is off (only for cv64/3d)
passthrough is on

Tried that settings.

It solved issues like ugly pointer and so, but It still draw the screen really slow when you compare to PIcasso96 driver.

There is any Picasso96 mailing list or similar?

I have read that some 2k mobbos are partially incompatible with some card, but since mine is realtive modern 6.2 i think its not the case. I have read abou 6.2C.

Where I can find if mine is or not one of that? Or maybe 6.2C is already 6.2...

I would uninstall picasso96 and cgx and start fresh.  u should remove all libraries and rtg monitor files and any rtg  settings in prefs/env-arch.  i would then boot into  a pal screen and install cgx.  it soumds like u r using cgx v3.  there are updates on the cgx home page for cgx 3, but the best version is cgx4, but this costs money.  unless there is something unique about the A2000 I can state that on my A4000 cgx felt more responsive, faster to redraw, the pointer movement was much smoother, as was icon dragging.  i would still argue that for Phase 5 HW  use Phase 5 software ie cgx.

Try removing any hacks that might be graphics related eg Visual prefs, birdie and mcp and then try to install cgx (with all of the stupid double negative questions in the installer). use the settings i gave u.

I have tried it under CGX4, but some tooltypes you gave me, are missing in my config!

What about of the picture.datatype for CGX available in aminet?

Anyone knows if there is any address to post p96 related questions, or any support email/mailing list still working?

Best Regards
