It's really hit big-time, it has made Tom's Hardware.

Amazing, too bad Jeri isn't getting rich on this wild success.

BTW QTV doesn't have exclusive rights any longer. Reports are coming in that these are now available in many Kaybee toy stores.

This one looks very cool indeed - wonder if the price is going to come down?  Tomshardware was talking about $9.99 on ebay, hopefully it'd come down to that level new?

40 bucks USD is a bit of a stretch for a toy.  I would love to get ahold of one of these but I'm in Australia - but I suspect shipping would be the killer however :(

Ah well, always got the real thing to tinker with I guess.

http://home.wanadoo.nl/richard.lagendijk/Html%20pagina/COMP-C64-DTV-H1.html

already been done - you can add a keyboard, 1541, etc to it.

The guy in the link above made an expansion that crammed everything into a 1541-II case.

I suspect it's just the tip of the iceberg - fun times ahead.

:) take it apart, solder on a PS2 port and you can attach a PS2 keyboard!  You can also attach a C64 disk drive if you do some more soldering. It is literally an entire C64, and all the old outputs are available on the PCB. You probably could stick the PCB inside a (chunky) PS2 keyboard, put some ports on the back of the keyboard and have something that is literally like a C64 of old.

They're $15 at Kaybee, but there was a deal where you could buy 2 for $20.  A lot less than the 47 I paid for my pair but that's okay.  I'm still looking for a suitable project box to put this thing in.  I already have the parts for the PS/2 adapter and IEC ports.
Time to move on.  Bye Amiga.org.  :(

Any chance of someone getting a set of two for me and posting them over to Australia? Happy to kick in a few dollars for your trouble.

Aside from QVC, are there any other online retailers that are selling them?

As a matter of fact I bought 6 from QVC when they first came out. I'd be willing to sell 2 new, unopened C64DTVs at my cost. They are the QVC version not the Kaybee toy version, so the cost would be the QVC cost and not the current Kaybee cost.

Let me know.
