Yeah, the tower of power is a P4 1500MHz (soon to have native graphics, sound and network cards).  It can run a dozen of the AROS graphical demos at the same time without breaking a sweat.

I don't mean to wave my willy, but try running AROS on an Athlon64 3200+ with 1Gig of dual channel DDR PC3200 ram and a PCIe GeForce 6600 :-D

Amiga Event in the UK almost certainly will go ahead.

@all @All

Okay after a *lot* of hastle I've finally prety much secured a venue... My application has to go infront of a committe next week but that should just be a formality. Once Im a member I can then book the venue.

With the help of a friend I have been round prety much every suitable venue in Skittyhorpe and they have all proven to be either too expensive, already booked up or not suitable after all.

So the downside to all this is that the show now looks like its going to be held in a village just a mile or so outside of Skittyhorpe, but we will still have our bar

Also dont worry about mileage since its about the same distance from the motorway as my original venue I was trying to book. You just take the first exist from the end of motorway roundabout rather than the 3rd

Stay tuned for an updated website and an official news announcment over the weekend.
Yours
Darren aka Ryu

The more XBoxes that people can bring the better, due to the amount of time available it means quick & easy Lan gaming (with Halo 1/2, Project Gotham 1/2, Midway Treasures 1/2 available).

As for the willy waving, my total build cost so far is still under £100 (just) :-D

I agree, it runs damn fast on my laptop of the same spec! (Well 128MB Geforce 9600, I'm still hoping for a Radeon driver!)
