Quick mFTP-II question
« on: February 17, 2005, 10:56:51 PM »
Hi there,

I am trying to upload webpages and graphics using mFTP-II on my A4000 060 3.9.  I haven't had any problems doing this previously but over the last couple of days, only the first 512 bytes of each file actually appears on the server.  The transfer window shows the whole file being copied, though.  So, does this sound like it might be a software problem?  Or, should I give my ISP a call?

Any light cast on this puzzler would be much appreciated.

Cheers.

does mFTP have a proper FTP log? you might want to check that for any errors...

I'd also consider using a different FTP client and IMHO the best FTP client on the Amiga at the moment is ATC. Although having said that even ATC is very poor really.

Yeah thanks, I'll check to see if there is a log of any errors.  I just find it bizarre that each transfer is cutting of at the same point.  One day a 200k jpeg is fine; the next 2, all files are truncated to 512 bytes!   I'll probably end up transferring to PC and uploading from there but that grates quite a lot! (Probably more than it should).
