Just to be clear...Doomy DOES NOT say he is an electric engineer, he says he is a "class IV electronics assembler"

tho' I'm sure he appreciates being mis-read.

This is way old but I saw one of Spenceranne's eBay auctions today that made me just about die laughing.

Here's the link:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=4598&item=5184541208&rd=1

Here's his gibberish:

Up for auction is a SCSI CD Rom drive and the Asim CDFS 3.9 software for the Amiga computers.  I use the Asim CDFS 3.9 software on my own Amiga 2000 and 3000 computers and I must say that it works really well.  I have never had any problems with it.  Of course I only use Commodore's A2091 SCSI Controller in all of my Amigas, so this could also be the reason why I do not have any problems (by the way, most GVP products suck).  Only the high quality Amiga computers like the Amiga 1000, 500, 2000 and the 3000 Series were designed to use the faster SCSI devices.  The lower quality Amiga computers like the Amiga 600, 1200, 4000 and the 4000T were designed to use the slower, lower quality and cheaper IDE devices.  So, I do not recommend using this drive and software with these Amiga models.  Remember, only use SCSI on the Amiga computers that were designed to use SCSI and you will not have any problems.  In fact, if you own an Amiga 600, 1200, 4000, 4000T or one of the new AmigaOne computers, I would highly advise you to sell that piece of crap and buy yourself an Amiga 1000, 500, 2000, or a 3000 Series computer.   You will be glad that you did.

-End Gibberish

This made my entire day.

So who wants to trade an A4000T for a high quality A1000?   :-D
A4000D - 060/50 64/2 OS3.0 VT 4000 DPS TBC III Hydra Ethernet 9.1 gb Seagate
A2000 - 030/25 32/2 DKB Megachip OS2.05 VT 2000 DPS TBC II Hydra Ethernet 4.3 gb Seagate
A500 - OS1.3 512k/512k

I never noticed he had an A3000 before. I thought the A2000 was grand in his tiny world. Do you think he has upgraded? In that case we'll only have to wait some time till he likes the A600 too. Then after a little while he will like the A4000. A little while more he likes the A1200 and CD32. Maybe he just has a problem catching up.

Anyway who really cares.
Regards,
Erno

I've dealt with Spenceranne once about six months ago, I had won a C128D keyboard with a missing space bar. I didn't check his history as I haven't had any problems with eBay until then. So I sent my money order to him and waited. After about two weeks I get an email asking if I'm "ever going to pay". Right off he was hostile so I figured that's just the way he is, so just to get things going I sent another money order; figuring the first one got lost I started a trace on it.

When I got the trace back with his signature I got a little upset. Anyways I got the usual hostile email communications and I just gave up, not worth my time, lesson learned.

Imagine my surprise when I got the keyboard a few days ago. I wonder what happened? Guilty conscience?

Oh, but before I paid twice for nothing, whereas now I paid twice for something. Somehow, that feels better.

I saw the auction title and was like "yeah! An A600 NTSC model!".. then I saw who was selling it.  *sigh*.  If you have an A600 in the box, how hard would it be to hook it up to your TV and turn the damn thing on to see if it worked?  It's not like it takes any effort :/
