Ours did to recently when they stopped doing TV and focused on wedding movies or whatever... at least I got some realy good deals on a few Amiga machines. :)

I belive there are more Amigas out there than what we might thing who's sole purpos is to just sitting with scala and doing loops on loops and the techs sitt with a handprinted manual that sais:

1. If it works, hands off!
2. If it doesnt work, plug and reseat powercord.
3. If this doesnt help, buy new!

Ps. at least it's not a bluescreen at your ATM ;)

I had an interview with Charter a few weeks ago. Because I put the Amiga and Toaster in my resume, I guess that's why they called. Evidently they knew it well. :-) They did say they knew of some still in use somewhere in their territory. It's been many years, but I have seen the 'insert workbench' disk on the local cable. Comcast had a 500 mounted in the truck they used for local school sports & events... But that was a while back too. I was writing a CanDo deck to do play-by-play stats for it - for my own amusement - but it never got finished.

UPDATE:
After doing some googleing I found out that the error message referring to "Alphagen" not being found, is in fact a standalone character generator based on the Amiga 1200.
Details are here:

Alphagen
I had never heard of this device before all this.
I guess you learn something new every day.

@TjLaZer

Yeah I remember one night when the Amiga running the preview channel had a guru and sat waiting hopelessly all night for somebody to press the left mouse button to continue. ^_^

Eh? You don't need to press the left mouse button to continue.

You just wait 10 seconds.

If it indeed said Guru Meditation, then it must have been kickstart 1.x, which requires a LMB click.  2.0x and up did not have a "Guru Meditation", but a "Software Failure", and 3.0 and up added a yellow "Recoverable Alert".

 Interesting.  I was starting to look into a weather station/web cam set up to report and transmit pics and reports to an internet site.  Might have to look a bit deeper into this unit and its options.
