Hi all:
I'm a moderately skilled user.  So advise me on how to use the recently released ghostscript ?.5 releases.  They are .tar files.  No comprendo.

TAR files are a compression format, like ZIP or RAR.  WinRAR can open them, you could uncompress them on your PC and then transfer them to your Amiga (if that's what you're trying to do, don't know about ghostscript).  I don't know of any Amiga programs that will open TAR files.

XAD supports the tar format, so any program which use XAD will open them for example unarc, Voodoo-X, DOpus 4.16 etc...
