Passing of John Zacharias - Sacramento Amiga Computer Club
« on: February 05, 2005, 05:44:45 AM »
I received a call this evening from the President of the Sacramento Amiga Computer Club (my local group) with the sad news that John Zacharias had passed away.  John suffered a stroke while checking out of the hotel in St. Louis following the 2001 show there.

I first met John at the Sacramento Commodore Club in the early 80s.  John moved to the Amiga in the 90s.  I always appreciated John's help with my computer woes...he spirit will be missed in the Amiga community.

A memorial service will be held in Sacramento on Tuesday, 2/8.

Sad news indeed. Living in these computer ages you usually don“t realize how mortal we humans still can be ...
