AmigaDE - business software?
« on: February 26, 2003, 10:53:43 AM »
I have just read that Opera software has developed some sort of HTML rendering software to support web-enabled smartphones, such as Sony Ericsson P800. On the other side, P800 has it`s own set of small office applications, reviwed as quite good:

"As a PDA, it`s got everything one would need to function efficiently at home, away, or even in the office. Sony Ericsson upped the ante with the inclusion of new and exciting extras like the CommuniCam and excellent games such as Men In Black 2: Alien and Stunt Car Extreme."

That`s another chance lost for AmigaDE. AmigaDE`s target is games market. A-DE is trying to bring games to anything that has LCD display, and that scares me a bit because lack of business software was the one of the thing that brought classic Amiga down. The former "Amiga Active" magazine had an article about "Espial`s" (www.espial.com) web apps being ported to AmigaDE, but now that article is just a "bunch of dead letters on a paper". If A-DE don`t get any serious software support, it will be forgotten and Amiga Inc. will loose it`s only commercial product. Right?
