Amiga.org bidding war

Contrary to drug-induced rumor started by a former site member, let it be stated for the record that Amiga.org is not for sale.  To anyone.

Seems that just like Doomy and the other nutsacks, Sumner isn't content to respect other site members and obey his banning, so if you wouldn't mind, PM me if you see him opening yet another account.

Heh, shame, Summer every now and again came up with some good threads (although most were chaff). Too bad he went native on us.

I honestly don't know how I feel about it, but if it was a joke, his sense of humor is simply not appreciated.  It seems that he, and a few of his kiddie cronies have no problem abusing the site for their own amusement.  Sad thing is, in a lot of respects I'm afraid this is what the Amiga community has devolved to.

I've nothing against debate here and the occasional meandering off the Amiga topic, but there were an awful lot of threads which seemed to be in-jokes for Sumner7, JonoPike etc.

Some of Sumner's posts were genuinely thought provoking, but Moderator-baiting (unless in jest) is surely only ever going to have one outcome...

If you have an issue with a moderator (or anyone else) then PM is the medium to use to resolve it, not public mud-slinging matches.

Why bother yourself in feeling anything about it? Yes it is a lie, has it hurt this site in any way? No, this thread clear in its rebuttal, plus you have to take into consideration the stature of these people within the community, Summer is considered by most who have any knolledge of him as being an out and out troll.

As for his cronies, well there will always be such people floating around, just looking for someone to latch onto... IP Banning is a dish, unlike revenge, best served warm, preferably when you have a nice glass of red wine in your hand when you hit the button.

I've seen the fall from grace myself, but there is always hope, so long as bloodline has socks   And there is always Karlos's and Cecilia's superhero - that chap they came up with, what is it apostraphy man or some such?

And after all is said and done, there are always pancakes  :-D

Serves him right really. Although if it was a joke, he should have known better.

How long will he be banned for then?

Behold! Apostrophe man! Hmm, sounds too much like "Catastrophe man". More an arch enema really...

I coined the nickname ASCII seeing as he was just a rogue smiley gone bad

TBH, if I am ever banned it will surely be to excessive silliness relating to one or both these things...

Permanently, and I will continue to ban every IP I find him using to create bogus accounts.  If he has no respect for my decisions then he doesn't get to be here.

I should add that people are telling me of additional accounts being used.  This is an abuse of the system, and to be honest I'd rather shut it down than put up with children to need their asses beaten.
