Apple is dead!
« on: November 05, 2002, 03:22:14 AM »
It died when they passed to PowerPC

There are no Macs for years in the market they don`t have 68k processors and they use PC hardware (gfx cards etc.)

lol just kidding this post is for all these winnies that are bitching around that the new Amigas aren`t actually Amigas.

If they aren`t Amigas so do PowerMacs, they aren`t actually Macs.

They should put also a 68k cpu on the mobo to be more Mac.  :-D

I sound like a flammer but I couldn`t stand all these topics about Amiga`s death and not being an Amiga.

Ack the Macintosh!!!!!

(okay even though I have about 9 Macintoshes in my room)

Because of the Macintosh, they abandoned my dream machine, the Apple IIgs.   If it was allowed to have a 68k processor, it would have had potential.

Okay, I guess to many people are bitching about the Amiga.  For Christ sake people, put the pipes down and chill.  For all these years you get nothing.  You wait like a starving young chick in the nest to get fed.  You wait more and still nothing.  Finally someone decides to get off their arse and make something happen in the Amiga community, thus feeding you...

...And what ??  You jump up and bite them in the butt, complaining you aren't getting custom chips this, and custome that.  Personally back in the stone ages were there was no standardization that was okay.  But really nowadays I wouldn't even do that.

Amiga is not dead, nor is Apple dead!  Since they both are running the same CPUs once again, they're are both alive and well!!

The whiners need to give it up and let happy times roll!!!

"Right on my brotha'!"

Though I must admit that I was ignorant of the Amiga until 1994, 95.  Long after Apple abandoned the IIgs.  The Amiga of course would have been my dream machine...

If it had the Ensoniq DOC!!!   ;-)  Man that was a kick ass sound chip (for back in 1987 anyway).

Seriously though, the Amiga is my dream machine...  I doubt even the AmigaOne+AO4 will suplant it.

Shame Jobs didn't get his way on that one, isn't it!?

To me, its an Amiga if it still has the environment that I am used to on my Amiga 1200. I can careless of what hardware its using. As long as an Amiga is in front of me, IM GAME! :-)

Didn't the Commodore 128 push 64 users out of the way?  And did it have some really weird memory issues with the older software.  Ah, wouldn't that mean that the software would need to be rewritten?

Sure the SID in the Commodore was fun, but.  The Apple IIgs had an Esoniq chip.  It was had 32 oscillators (Yeah that's right 32!!!), LSI chip and all that.  Graphics sucked, but I only use it for music though.

Okay screw them all!!!! Amiga, Atari, Amstrad, BBC, Commodore, Timex, Digital, Sun, SGI, etc.
