Yet more Open Source (Solaris)
« on: January 26, 2005, 11:51:37 AM »
I don't know if this would affect OS4 directly, but maybe it will boost some developement. I'm still reading the details, but the license will be based on the Open Mozilla license. Open Mozilla spawned alot of interest and ports. Maybe OS4 can benifit some how? If nothing else, maybe it will annoy M$ :-)

Microsoft's version is "Shared Source" i.e. mostly refers to legacy* free MS Windows CE. AMD PIC’s WinCE’s was able to run certain WinXP era applications.

*X86 centric.

Note that Microsoft and SUN has signed an agreement which solves their disputes. Thier common foe is Linux.
Amiga 1200 PiStorm32-Emu68-RPI 4B 4GB.
Ryzen 9 7900X, DDR5-6000 64 GB, RTX 4080 16 GB PC.
