« on: January 25, 2005, 09:49:05 AM »
Hi what pc ports are currently avalible on amiga 68k ,ppc
i tried to use aminet to download hexen .Adoom and others but these files are no more than 1mb or so and wont run. If il by the aminet cds will i get bigger better files or is it the same thing.
Is there a easy way to get theese games running on my amiga or is it like bumping around with parameters and other things for ages to get it kicking..?

And whats more i would like to get a hold of a classic amiga game more than annything SIMON THE SORCERER speach edition love that game most of all games if you got it and kind of dont want it plese sell it to me.

thank you on advance for anny post that helps me out.

You'll get the same files on the CDs (if you can get the CDs).
What you dl'ed are the game engines, but you'll need to go and find the game data. e.g. for Doom you'll need the wad files from DOOM. So, you'll either need to aquire a full version of DOOM, then use the executable you dl'ed to run the wad or just pay for the game from a licensed porter like Hyperion.

(Or you can find some of the PD WAD files around on the net).

there is doom attack i love that port. crosshair, looking, pointing, jumping, dunno where to get it as my amiga has no interent connection. got it back in '98. you still need the wad files to play.
