It's almost the end of January and...
« on: January 25, 2005, 04:41:12 AM »
...still no Dragon for sale and still no pictures of any kind. Any thoughts on this? Will Dragon meet it's release date? I am kind of sceptical that in 5-6 days we'll actually see something. Elbox, please prove me wrong. :-)

Did they say what year?  Perhaps they've taken a page from the Eyetech/Amiga Inc./Hyperion marketing plan.
Time to move on.  Bye Amiga.org.  :(

this dragon thingie would be nice, if it had at least one zII/III slot + video slot, I really do not want to have monitor switchers or stuff like that... and if it had an on-board IDE controller too...

Products are presently in prototype form running Linux and will be available in Q1 2005. Additional information will follow in the new year.

I haven´t seen any pictures or anything yet.

Moaning, moaning, moaning...
I think we should be happy that there is still somebody (Elbox) producing new Amiga stuff....

Maybe you should ask on the official dragon community website :-D But who needs a coldfire anyway.. I just hope the ack boards don't turn out to be vapour.. And I think I will rather see my amiga tshirt(still NOT here!) arriving than the release of the dragon..

rayt:

I agree. I'd rather have an ACK board, but I'm also very curious about the Dragon. I'd like to at least see how it would physically look. I'd also like to know exactly how really compatible with 68k software it would be.

I think that's the point of the "moaning".  They're not "producing new Amiga stuff..."; they're just rattling off promise after promise (Shark and Dragon) without actually producing anything.
Back away from the EU-SSR!

And as I previously feared, it finally happened.

A riot in Krakow, in front of Elbox HQ, due to unreleased details in regards to the Dragon 1200 expansion.

---

Here we see Karlos, furious at the present state of affairs, throwing what appears to be a rock at the police. After running out of socks, he was forced to use rocks, just like everybody else involved in the riot.

---

Just terrible...Krakow will never be the same, thanks to Dragon 1200 expansion being late, or even non-existant, who knows?

---

Bloodline, furiously burning in public his Elbox hardware.

---

Tjaoz, realizing that his Trabant is no more.
