adding HD to 1200

hi i am interested in purchasing a 1200 on ebay for 35 pounds but unfortunately it does nor come with a hard drivew.
How difficult is it to adda hard drive to these Amigas?
i am reasonably techically minded (i added a HD to my 600)
but i would like to knoew before i buy it preferably.

I would be basically the same at the A600.

to add a hard drive to my 600 i got a rom chip from a non working 600hd and swapped them. If i remember rightly the 600 wouldnt boot from the HD with the original 2.05 rom

The 1200's will work with HD's, there is no this-rom-doesnt-support-hds problem ;-)
Anyway is the only way

On the A1200 there shouldn't be any problems like that.. just get a 2,5" hd and cable and connect it, should work fine..

thanks guys, I appreiciate the help.
err while i'm here i assume that the power supply from a 500 is also compaitble as it is with the 600?
