1084 Monitor doesn't work with RGB. Composite works fine
« on: January 08, 2005, 05:58:29 AM »
Guys

My 1084 Monitor has stopped displaying the Amiga RGB signal. It worked for a day after I removed from storage and the last time I turned it on it didn't. However if I connect an external composite input it works. Could the problem be with the Amiga, the cable or the monitor?

Anybody else had this problem before?

BTW The Amiga comp output is working propely

Thanks

Mike

Could be a problem with the computer, cable or monitor.

There are two push button switches at the rear of the 1084S monitor which need to be set to the correct position to select RGB input, check these are correct.

These monitors have a common fault where the 9 way D-range socket develops cracked/dry solder joints.
Try wiggling the connector and see if you can get a picture.  You may need to have it resoldered.
