You know, Doomy bought a few items from our eShop without any major problems. The only reason i am bringing it up now is when we were running our going out of business sale, he turned. All of a sudden we were getting bombarded with questions, well questions is putting it midly. More like coarse insults full of 4 letter words. Mentally unstable to say the least. Needless to say he's been flagged to the blocked bidder list.

Buyer/seller beware indeed.
Someone has to state the obvious and that someone is me!

I did get that impression of him, that he'd be okay one minute and then turn the next before shouting "Stop picking on me!" when ever anyone responded to his abuse.

I've known people like that all my life from the school playground through to the workplace.  Oh well, he's not going to be bothering anyone from here from now on.

"Since the Amiga 2000 is a German-made computer, it uses 3mm and 4mm screws and bolts... "

Seriously though, it just stroke me when reading the item description and reminding his "normal" posts, this guy has  schizophrenia. They can't maintain a fixed thinking path are instable and live in their own reality. They also get somewhat paranoid about ocultism and things like that... This is the result of them not being able to use both the logica and sentimental parts of their intelect at the same time..
I'm not into this I just know it cause I have a friend that has this problem... maybe Doomy's the same.

Well, this is a little confusing , to say at least.
I happened to buy from him/her? a Chinon disk drive for my Amiga 3000. After i did my bid, i received a strange mail from somebody telling me to be careful with this seller.
I got suspicious, replied to that mail, but never ever again received anything.

Strange tough, he/she (gee, im not sure what it is, since i received at least 3 mails, 2 with female names, 1 with male name (identity problems? disturbed personalities? Multiple personalities?) ;)) changed terms of auction.
First, she/he would accept pay pal, then no. Then, she would send the drive to my country, then no...

Oh, i almos forgot, of course she/he didnt leave me feedback, even tough i sent the money 2 days after auction finished....

 :-)

So i guess i will never ever see that drive. My father reports me that the item never arrived...

Oh well, strange world, full of strange people...

Yeah, I often find that using 3mm and 4mm screws and bolts makes all the difference to a quality product.

Like I once said before, I have my own experiences of "High quality German engineering", having owned two Wolfsburg built VWs.  One broke down twice, the other threw an expensive mechanical strop every three months (you could actually set your watch by it - how's that for precision engineering?).  Oh, and my brother's (brand new) Osnabruck built VW Corrados broke down twice each...

Not wishing to insult any German readers here, but "Made in Germany" is absolutely no guarantee of reliability.  IIRC Doomy made similar claims about British manufactured products, which anyone who's ever owned or driven a Solihull built Land/Range Rover will no doubt be howling with laughter at too.  Our Blackpool built TVRs carry on a fine tradition of mechanical fragility.

What's that old joke about the British no longer making color (colour for you folks) TVs because they couldn't figure out how to make 'em leak oil... :-D

  Yeah, now we make the retro-esque Mini which seems worryingly well bolted together.  I'm told that your Mini dealer can supply you with a retro pack for additional charge which consists of the following modifications for a real retro-Mini experience:

Your Mini will pee oil all over your driveway at night.

A packet of bolts is randomly emptied in between various body panels to give an authentic "rattle" which is impossible to trace or cure.

Upon delivering your Mini to a service centre, an 18 year old technician with a Brummie (Birmingham) accent will empty the sump of oil before driving your car through town like a maniac.  He will also have sex on your back seat.

The electronic system will be programmed to randomly shut down various vital systems including the electric windows, air conditioning, heater, fuel injection and stereo system.

Special paintwork will also be added which is a slightly different shade to the other adjacent panels and offers no corrosion resistance whatsoever.

My sister in law has schizophrenia and she can also have crazy mood swings. What happens with her is that she starts to worry that she might be a drug adict because she always has to take drugs and the TV spots from the anti-drug lobby tell her to be careful. So she cuts back on her meds until the curtains start telling her that people are sifting thru her garbage. Maybe this guy is okay when he's on his meds but now and again he weans himself off? I wrote him once about a PSU he was selling on ebay and he refused to talk to me because I was writing about my A4000's and so I was wasting his time talking about those "pieces of crap". Gee, I always liked my A4K machines. I also have three A2000's and really like them as well. My original @k has only required one HD replacement when the Supra card failed. Other than that I'm still using it with the original battery! Nice workhorse, but oh so slow. I like the one I put the '030 in better.

@Gavilan

You paid for a auction and never got the goods?  Post negative feedback to warn others!  The retaliatory you will receive is worth exposing the true identity of rip off artists on eBay.
