I have a 68030 Amiga with a 40GB HD and about 8 or 10 Partitions...I want to format the last 2....one as a Linux partition and the other as a Real Mac drive for Shapeshifter and OS7.5, How do I do it? will it ruin my other Amiga Partitions?
CD32 is actually the best Amiga ever made by Commodore!...

;-) It's not just the size of the partition, the whole thing must exist inside the 4.3 gigabyte "barrier," as I learned first hand.  So, don't put your Shapeshifter partition on the end.

Quite right. I had the Mac partition on a relatively small partition, prolly 500MB or thereabouts. But, that was at the end of my HD....

@leirbag28:

From my experience you first of all need to place the partition ShapeShifter is supposed to use in the first 4GB of your harddrive or it will overwrite data somewhere in the first 4GB of your harddrive. Secondly it has to be less than 2GB or MacOS will fail to format it - this atleast is true with System 7.5.5 and should be the same on all 7.x releases. The ShapeShifter manual also states that the BlockSize for that partition needs to be 512Bytes so it might be a good idea to stick to that size.
