New owner Yeahronimo Media Ventures has not ruled out the possibility of a new breed of Commodore computers.

The question is since this machine will also have the "Name"(tm), what will the blind followers do? :-D

ok, now what would happen if their 'new concept' thingy involved DE?? lol ...

Seems the word 'Commodore' is worth more than 'Amiga'!

I knew that all along :-)

Commodore 64 was the biggest selling computer, and COMMODORE made the Amiga whilst it was at its peak, so they have a much bigger name.

The Amiga name had more value until Amiga Inc. came along.

Why is it everybody wants to assume the Commodore/Amiga name, but no one wants to (or can) do right by it? And, right off the bat, they all have some hare-brained, screw-balled idea of what they want to do with it, that has NOTHING to do with the original entity! Methinks they're just after the marketability of the name of the most sold computer of all time! {bleep}s!  :pissed:  :madashell:  :destroy:  :flame:  :furious:

Greetings,

@MiAmigo

whoh dude! Easy there. You might give yourself a heart attack! :-)

As always, they'll have a hard time replicating the success of Commodore and Commodore/Amigas alike. Like the old saying:"Time can only tell."

Ten deep breaths! Okay. I'm okay! But...
I wonder if they even want to. Look at the players, and their dismal record. Gateway, of all companies! They could possibly be the worst customer service/satisfaction jerks out there, and they were just one of many. I remember being so excited when, back in the old days, right after the fall of Commodore, some company would announce they were assuming the line. Now, I just get mad.

Now then, now then, lets all calm down and see what happens next shall we.....

I for one have in front of me a Commodore 128 on the desk, with my Amiga 1200T keyboard on top of that so when I use the 128 I just move the 1200T keyboad up a little, so I am one of those who refuses to give up on Commodore/Amiga.

So lets just see the next move.

Imagine with all the retro going on an updated C64/128 being released. I know I would get it just so I can pass on to my kids. I think it would be a great tool.
