2 amigas connecting
« on: January 01, 2005, 08:36:20 PM »
I have 2 A4000 both with ethernetcards and Miamidx installed.
They are linked to the cable-modem trough a switch on an DHCP server(so no IP adres).
How can I connect these 2 machines for internet for both on the same time?
When I try this now one machine "hangs".
What software do I need to share files between these 2?
Is there a easy guide for MiamiDX?
Maybe even in my native language(dutch).
Anybody?

assuming you use a router for your internet conn. you can try to check if both machines get an ip address (using miamiifconfig)
for sharing files you can use samba (aminet) or nfsd (not recommended) or ftp (ftpd and ftp).

for further information on this, check the sw issues boards here, it was discussed several times :-)

btw : happy new year.
