Choice toon strips and stories related to them
« on: December 23, 2004, 01:22:33 AM »
At the end of what has been a very eventful year for me, I've decided that you (un)lucky folk should have to (mis)fortune to see what resources on the net I use to help me keep sane.

Right, many of you will remember Errant Story from a previous thread I put up, much to the discomfort of many who then became hooked... But there are more, such as Sin Fest which I find very funny. The ever amusing Dilbert who reminds me that no matter how crumby a job can be, his is worse.

Then, there is my all time favourate strip, I have been reading this since 1995 or thereabouts, Eric Schwartz's Sabrina Online, but wait, there one more, this time not a comic strip but a serialised story thats a spin off from the Sabrina Online story that has earned a special place in my heart, ladies and gents, I give you ZZ Studios, though more specifically, Zig Zag's story.

I look forward to tortured screams along the lines of "I've just lost X amount of days reading this stuff!" :-D
Blessed Be,

Sabrina online is just fantastic.  I first read her strips when they were part of my staple Amiga Format diet :-D

Haven't read it for a few months now, but thanks to you I'll be losing time with it again :-D

I actually started reading sabrina online on Moonlight BBS run by a chap called John Marchant, a thoroughly nice bloke who had a large stash of ES's works, including a complete mirror of sabrina online.

Damn but that was a long time ago heh!

I think I've got all of his movies on CD.  Got them off Aminet put them on cd, stuck them on the miggy and watched them all back to back :-D

Aminet doesn't seem to have much of his stuff now tho, so I'm glad I got it when I did.

I must buy his CD sometime :-D

If I can make a recommendation, you can download P.G.Wodehouse stories for free from the Gutenberg Project.

He was a master of comedy.  If you have not already read his stuff, he will provide you with many 'lighter' moments. :-)
Any obstacle can be an opportunity, try a different perspective.

Might I suggest getting this if you're interested in fantasy-angled comics? It's quite funny stuff :-).

@bjjones37

I'll have a look though tbh zig zag story was something of an unusual choice for me - I'm not normally into things like this.

@odin

I'll certainly consider it, but for now it'll have to wait until after Xmas am totally broke man!
