Well I had a similar problem, but it was always when I tryed to play payback. Everytime I clicked on the paybackwos.exe all I got was a grey screen so I clicked on the paybacksetup.exe and I noticed that the 68k version of payback was set to a pal screen mode so I changed it to a voodoo 8bit screenmode and then clicked on paybackwos.exe and it worked perfect.
