I've kept my old Amiga 2000 Toaster around after I moved on to other digital editing systems. In the last five or more years I seldom used it except for a few video features. But alas, it now "coughs" on starting and shows symptoms of age. However, I have no idea if it can be easily fixed and used by others in whole or in pieces. For me, I don't need it anymore.
As one who hates to throw away anything that someone else can use (or buy), how does one offer a non-working system that could probably be fixed up easily by someone who knows 2000s? Right now it doesn't boot at all.
I've been looking for someone nearby here in New York City who could come over, take a look and make an offer. Sorry to sound so naive but I'm sure it's worth something to someone. Or do you just bury old soldiers like this?
Advice on where to go and what to do would be appreciated. Inventory on request.
