« on: November 29, 2004, 12:50:55 PM »
I'm trying to read KS 2.04 (original from Commodore) with EPROM programmer and need to know what chip model is it? (I know that it can be read using some software, but need this way)
Better sorry than worry.

You may be able to read it by selecting 27C400 if your using an eprom programmer.  I seem to recall an Amiga utility that would dump a file to the Ram disk also, but I don't remember the name.

What are you trying to do?

Jeff is right, but Kickstart ROMs are mainly on MX23c2100 (256KB roms) and MX23c4100 (512KB roms).
I also have a 3.1 ROM on a AM27c400, but it gives me problems, doesn't work properly on my A500 rev.6a and not at all on my A2000-A.
I have asked the pinout to AMD, 'cause they don't have it on their site, and they have sent me a fax.
Actually 27c400 is perfectly compatible with MX23c4100, but there may be some capacity differences.

Great, thanks satiropan.
Here is what you have to do to make it work on A2000-A:

(SCROLL TO BOTTOM OF PAGE)

you can also use these keywords on Google:
Amiga "pin 31"
