Small monitors are no fun! :-x

I've got two Trinitron monitors (a 17" PeeCee one, and a 20" SUN one), and there just absolutely awsome!

Cheers,

Clark

Iiyama monitors are good quality.  My S900MT1 (19") is a few years old now, hasn't lost focus at all or geometry, and I paid ~£180 for it (a very good price for that size monitor).

Usual res: 1280x1024x85Hz.  Can do 1600x1200x75Hz but I prefer 85Hz.

Check out this place for 21" monitors, pretty good prices on refurbished units, like $379.

I hope you guys don't get neck strain from all those big monitors, :=)  I had a 17" Dell shipped from SoftHut for $69! Outstanding monitor, weighs a ton, but nice.  Oh, it was a off-lease deeal, glad I got one with no problemos~

I got a Mitsubushi Diamond Pro 720, 17 inches seems plenty although a decent TV size monitor would be nice for watching DVDs on.

Any way to link a computers DVD player to a TV? I know a nice expensive projector could be connected for a mini cinema experience, but would that damage it?  :-?

There are adaptors that will convert a VGA signal into an NTSC or PAL signal but they tend to be expensive.  It's more cost effective to purchase a video card that has a TV out.  Many of the ATi Radeon cards have SVideo outputs on them.  SVideo to composite converters are fairly inexpensive (i.e. around $10-$15US).

I went from a 15" to a 19" a few weeks ago.   When you get your new monitor, you'll wonder why you didn't upgrade ages ago!

I`ve got a 17" unbranded monitor + a 19" Belinea. Great monitor. Just one question. Has anybody had a monitor which goes a bit funny when you switch screens. When I say "funny", I mean it goes black makes a couple of clunky noises then comes back. This doesn`t happen everytime, but mostly. Can be annoying. Makes my computer look like it can`t multi-task. Its cool apart from that. You have to have 17" monitor at the minimum really. Otherwise its like using a giant PDA. :-)
