What to call the ROM files
« on: November 16, 2004, 12:51:21 AM »
I got the latest WinUAE last night and was excited you can now choose a model of Amiga with one button, and it does everything else for you.

Anyway, I put my ROMs in the ROMs directory, and it still says I do not have the ROMs. It is looking for 256k ROMs but mine are 512k. Any way to convert them?

Do I need to give them a particular name?

PS - the ROMs work fine if i select them manually...

Documentation, anyone?  Hardly anything other than the revision history and JIT compiler is covered in the docs.  For shame.

I've had all kinds of problems with the latest version.  I can't get it to work with my own ripped A1200 3.0 roms, and a bootleg 1.3 ROM will only get as far as the disk-insert boot screen and then it crashes, sometimes taking all of Win2000 with it (WinUAE is the only application I know of that will bring Win2000 down!!!)

I'm sticking with 8.26 for now.

I have the same issues as Waccoon. My ripped ROMS do not work with the newest version. 8.26 works best for me.
