@ Bloodline

That one had me laughing a lot.

Speaking of nasty socks, when I was at boarding school I had a problem with one of my room-mates. He would let out the most vile farts right there in the room and it was dreadful. Anyway he wouldn't change this behaviour so I set about getting my revenge. There was a squash court at the school and I played several afternoons one week without changing my socks. By the Friday these socks had their own pulse and were nicely 'animated'.
When the guy went to see if there was any mail for him in the dorm-master's office I unfastened the press-studs of his duvet cover and stuffed one sock right in the bottom of the cover. The other one I stuffed in his pillowcase.

Now you might think it was unwise for me to hide the second sock in the pillowcase where it would surely be found within ten minutes. But...that was exactly the reason I did it. He found the sock in the pillowcase, almost puked, and threw it away. Yet over the next two days the smell lingered around his bed.
"Don't worry," I said, "it's just the smell of that sock lingering on. Get some air freshener, mate."

It took a few days for him to realise that there was another sock and it was in his duvet cover. The farting was much reduced after that  :-)

Haha!  Nice one X-ray, a farter always gets what they deserve in the end...

My office seems to have several people bent on revenge for different misdemeanours.  Our boss is in his late 60s and is somewhat forgetful, but occasionally can be a real tyrant.  One chap was so incensed that he peed on said boss's chair, in the hope that the other bosses would notice the odour and suspect iminent senility.

Another act of revenge involved a couple of drops of Optrex being added to said boss's coffee.  The effect was sudden and explosive to say the least.

Perhaps the most disgusting act of vengence came in the summer.  One particular member of staff here has been the source of some particularly nasty and malicious gossip, not to mention fiddling the cost efficiency reports of people he doesn't like.  One disgruntled victim was suffering on a particularly hot and sweaty afternoon and noticed that his tormentor had left his coffee mug unattended in the kitchen.  Said mug was liberally applied to sweaty and distinctly unpleasant body areas before being replaced...

I KNEW there was a reason I don't drink coffee. :-)
Any obstacle can be an opportunity, try a different perspective.

Did somebody mention SOCKS?

I need to buy some!

I once found a sock that had been wanked into so much that it was stiff as a board.

For convenience, here are the topics spawned and or corrupted as a consequence of this one, frank admission:

Sock hunting

Hearty Handshakes

Lonely socks

maths question

and here

here as well...

etc..

And a shedload I forgot already :-D

I think ADZ's suggestion has merit. Should we put it to a vote?

This is where it all began. Can you feel the weight of history pressing down?
