Hi all!

Has anyone out there brought a "Surfcard" from Eyetech for thier A1200? Have you got it working OK?

When I use CNET.device it says that the card is already in use or not inserted :-? It is inserted and pushed home, no other programs are running and yes I do have a RESET patch ;-)

Does anyone have any experiance with this card?

Cheers!

The 19" A1200 we use at work apparently came with the CC reset fix done. But it didn't

Try this....

Plug your surfcard in
Boot your A1200
Run Miamiinit or Genesis
If you get the error device not found
pull the card out and push it back in, while the amiga is on.
Then it should find the card using cnet.device

Once you tcp/ip stack is configured save your config.

You'll have remove / insert  every time you power up your amiga for the first time before going on line.
Eg: once wb has booted.

Thanks JC

Will have a go with that as soon as Imagine has finished rendering.

What would you do without Amiga.org to help you Jumpship? ;-)

Wasn't there a fix for that to not be necessary?

@KennyR

I would probably not be using the Amiga at all! I do try self help most of the time, however when I hit a wall with that I find the people here most knowlegeable and helpful.

So a :pint: to all you nice people out there in AmigaLand!

Also I do try to help out as and when I can!

You'll need to get cardreset.lha from aminet and run it at the beginning of your startup-sequence, removes the need for a hardware fix.

As a side note, I have found out why my PCMCIA nic wasnt working, my 90° adaptor is buggered, whole line of soldering has snapped clean off :-/
