Successor to Aminet?
« on: November 10, 2004, 03:05:12 PM »
What is going on with Aminet? There have been no uploads for months and no replies from the administrators!

It seems in this case that we will have to create or designate a site as the main repository of new Amiga PD. I think it is a commonly agreed fact that Aminet was very important in keeping the Amiga alive through troubled times.

Ideally it should have the same directory structure, readme format, etc. as Aminet.

Is there such a site? (OS4Depot is no good because it only caters for OS4.0 software.)

It sounds like you may have missed this. ;-)

I expect things will be back to normal in a few weeks.

Quick! Spam the administrators, that'll sort it out ;-)

In all seriousness, the news item tells all there is to know.
Great news! :-)

I like Amigas

More than 5 people emailed the Aminet administrators. I know this because I did, and received no reply. Not that it matters, but I thought I should set the record straight.
