Magic Menu 2.35
« on: October 08, 2004, 04:51:43 PM »
I use Magic Menu 2.35 on my Amiga 1200T, with OS3.9.
Now if I choose to use the transparent option the Magic Menu is slooooooooow.
If I choose not use then its fine and fast.
Should it be this way?

I use an 030 at 40Mhz.

TIA,

Mike....

Transparency involves reading the background graphics and merging it with menu graphics.

Mediator bus is slow, and reading video memory is even slower. 030@40 isn't exactly fast, either.

Yes, it is that way.

and above of all . . .MM 2.35 uses WOS for speedup trasparency :-)   (ppc fatbinary)

Without WOS, it is slow even on a 060

@swift240

 Transparency is only supposed to be used with GFX cards I believe, so thats another reason its slow.
CD32 is actually the best Amiga ever made by Commodore!...

Sniff, sniff... can you smell that too? I smell a Krakow rat approaching. Set your flamethrowers to "ON".
