It's been tried but not by me.  See here for a screengrab.

Right; I saw that.  It's what prompted my question. :)

Yes it does both the Interpretive and Dynamic Versions.
Due to having a lot more RAM available you can realy bump up the Dynamic Versions buffer.
Its seems to run at about the the same speed as on a 060,
I expect it to be much faster once I can test it using the OS4 68K JIT.
But loading etc is quicker with Hardfiles as the Native Disk IO is so much faster.

What kind of real-world speeds would you equate the non-JIT version with?  '486?  '386?

I remember PC-Task "fondly" - I had to use it back in '92 to do my Turbo Pascal programming assignment at home on my A1200 with 2MB Fast.  I remember it was so slow there was a noticeable delay after pressing a key before the character appeared on screen.

OMG What the heck was that screenshot of? A very OLD version of Windows?? Scarey how things used to look.  If I wanted to run PC software on an Amiga (especially under OS4). I'd go to my local recycle center and pick up a PC for $15 that could run that version of the software..

It's still funny that Amiga software runs faster on WinUAE than PC software does under OS/4 and the G4. I wonder how fast  classic Amiga software runs on OS/4 compared to that of the modern PC..

This has been a fun walk down memory lane either way..

Anyone really want a Bridgeboard for OS4??

I used to run MS-DOS 6.22 with PC-task 4 for school. Almost everthing works, except memmaker. PC-task 4 was running on an A1200 with a Blizzard 1230IV with 16 MB of RAM.

I assume you do live in a big house and have a huge desk with lots of space on it's top and at both sides?

Fine for you - I do not and I don't want to waste my slender space...

Dandy, there is "edit" button , too.

I've tried PC Lemmings and Prince of Persia on PCTask with A500+. slooooooow, you have to wait few seconds to see sprites move. (still, it was fun)

The version of Windows in that screen shot looks like 3.0/3.1 to me. How well would PC Task run Word on an 060?

Regards,
A1200D / AGA / B1260 / 64MB RAM / KS 3.1 / AOS 3.9 / 4GB HD
