@x56h34

I believe that it's possible to buy other A4k towers than the Mirage towers. I seem to remember having seen a black customized tower (customized for Mediator) for sale at an Amiga online store. I think that it's next to impossible to find a tower as crappy as the Mirage, and I many time been tempted to give it a kick or two.

I prefer constructing a new backplate for a nicer looking, and nicer build tower instead, just as Brian suggest. In fact, I'm looking for a cool tower at the moment so I can towerise my A4k, and use the Mediator board that came with the Mirage tower.

Ha, ha, ha. :-) Well, I have to agree, the Mirage 4000 is not very special, however if you go by the Elbox upgrade path, then it's suitable as everything fits in nicely, but considering how much it costs, then I would think that they should have done a better job on the design and spacing.
The Mirage 4000 internals easily get crowded, as cabling from SCSI and IDE controllers, this and that, clog up the space. :-( Also, the fact that there's actually only 2 usable 5.25" bays sucks.

I once sold my Tengen version of Tetris for a very low amount.

I would have made a good cash on eBay as I still have the box and everything else in very good RARE AND LIMITED condition. :bigcry:

I don't like Spectrums, I prefer C64's from that generation of machines.
I regret selling my Amiga 600 though in 2000, it was my first Amiga. It was in like new condition other than the missing F4 key, it was great  :-)

Im having a lot of fun with an ST at the moment though. I had one but it broke in 2000 and went  into the scrap.

I sold my Amiga 3000 and my Miracle Piano Teaching System... at the time, it was a choice between those or the rent. :-/ Still, I widh I had them back.  Same with some of my old electronics magazines. I had tons of those, but tossed them years ago. Fortunately, by the time I got tired of seeing the piles of Amiga magazines lying about, I had a document scanner with an autofeeder... now they're on CDs.

Man, rent seems to send a lot of Amigas packing.

I had to sell my first A3000 a couple years ago to pay the rent.  :-(

I wish I hadn't sold my old C128 setup - I had somewhere between 500 and 700 disks, some with stuff that I haven't been able to find ANYWHERE on the net. For example, there was one 'demo' that started out with a black screen, played a tune by Ben Daglish that was from one of his music selectors, and then revealed a multicolor picture with bouncing lines in the vein of the countless screensavers with bouncing lines. I seem to remember that there was (I think) a bulldog in the lower left hand corner. I also think that the filename was "PICCY DEMO", although I could be wrong (I've found something called this, but I don't believe it was what I was looking for).

I'm seriously considering trying to track down my old disks. A longshot, for sure, but nonetheless I had SCADS of {bleep}.

I wish I hadn't sold my original A1000 but had to in order to get an A500+ (long time ago!) I eventualy got another so I'm not worried now.

I also wish I hadn't sold the Horner Pianet-T keyboard I had ...or the casio CZ 1000.  The Horner only made one sound but had a certain "life" to it which digital keyboards lack somehow, maybe I'll get another one day...

I may never use it but I'll take a lot to prise the MicroMoog out of my hands!

While not computer related (I don't regret selling old computers), if I were to point at something I wish I'd never have sold, it would have to be my 1981 Suzuki GS-550T (motorcycle).  Some guy showed up on the doorstep way back when I had an apartment, he had cash in hand, and I had been pressured since day one by friends and my then fiancee (now ex-wife) to sell it, so I gave in.

They might have been right.  Had I kept it, who knows if I would be alive today, but I still can't help but wish I had kept it.

I'm sure Tigger (the aforementioned friend) will chime in and inform me how stupid it was for me to have a motorcycle in the first place, as he never let me live down the story behind it's purchase (I was test riding it and a kid ran across in front of me, making me lay it down in the parking lot before I could get my feet down).  Now, I couldn't afford one even if I had a desperate craving to buy one, so it -- like most of my dreams -- have to wait.

I know I have.  I had a wonderful collection of C= 64/128 stuff with modified 1750 and 1764's, several 1541, 1571, and even a few 1581's.

Later I moved to Amiga's.  I had a nice A1000 with a Spirit Technologies external RLL HD controller and an external X-Ram card.  I sold most of that stuff.

I have actually collected back most of the computer related things I regreted selling with the exeption of the early C= stuff.  I probably wouldn't ever use a 64 again anyway :-)  Since I really hate that feeling, I am pretty careful about what I buy anymore.  Chances are if I find it and I really want it, I'm probably not going to sell it unless I get really desperate.

I recently sold my house because it was just to hard to afford it by myself. I still have all of my Amiga's though :-D

Why don't you eBay the A3000+. Just imagine how much $$$ it could land. Did you by any chance buy it from SoftHut?

Do you use your A1200? It's a great system if you ever feel the need to return to the custom chipset feel.

Yup I got that one from Software Hut. and I never got the A1200. The deal fell through I guess. The seller never got back to me. The A3000+ is here to stay, I will never sell it.

I regretted selling my Speccy 48k years ago, but I had to to get the money for a +2 so it wasn't that bad.
